The PS8171, and PS8171C, is a signal voltage level shifter for HDMI or DVI digital video interface applications. It is designed to be used within source systems that utilize a low-voltage, AC coupled HDMI or DVI transmitter. The PS8171 translates the AC coupled HDMI/DVI signaling into DC coupled outputs compatible with the HDMI/DVI video standards.
